Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable medical professional to join our team as a Clinical Editor. In this role, you will lead the development of BMJ India education courses and BMJ Masterclasses while building and maintaining strategic partnerships with experts and organizations. Your key responsibilities will include planning, curating, and delivering educational content, seeking accreditation from reputable bodies, and managing relationships to ensure long-term collaborations. The role also involves strategic partner identification, stakeholder communication, and contract negotiations.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Development:

Lead the development and production of BMJ India education courses and BMJ Masterclasses.

Commission, write, and edit online learning modules with integrated multimedia elements.

Develop innovative content ideas, manage peer reviews, and ensure adherence to BMJ’s conflicts of interest policy.

Liaise with authors, peer reviewers, and contributors to ensure high-quality content delivery.
Strategic Partnerships and Subject Matter Expertise:

Identify strategic partners to support the development and promotion of education courses.

Select and engage with appropriate subject matter experts, course directors, and contributors for education courses.

Manage communication and relationships with strategic partners to foster long-term collaborations.

Negotiate and finalize contracts with partners, contributors, and experts.
Accreditation and Endorsements:

Seek and secure accreditation or endorsement of education courses by reputable medical bodies and institutions.

Maintain relationships with accrediting organizations to ensure ongoing support and recognition.
Event Management:

Oversee the organization and delivery of BMJ Masterclass events in India.

Develop and deliver high-quality course materials tailored to the Indian market.

Build and manage relationships with chairs, speakers, and external stakeholders to deliver impactful events.

Ensure all events comply with local ethical and commercial guidelines.
Collaboration and Support:

Conduct market research to address the learning needs of clinicians in India.

Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to ensure effective promotion of BMJ Learning initiatives.

Represent BMJ at conferences, external meetings, and stakeholder discussions.
Future Initiatives:

Potential involvement in commissioning and editing question banks for NEET-PG or NEXT exams.
Qualifications and Skills:
-
A medical degree (MBBS) with a postgraduate qualification.

Extensive understanding of the Indian healthcare system and medical education requirements.

Proven experience in identifying and managing strategic partnerships.

Knowledge of evidence-based medicine, CME, and accreditation processes.

Strong oral and written communication skills with excellent organisational abilities.

Computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfort using online tools.

Prior experience in editing clinical content, producing multimedia content, and organising events is advantageous.
