Salary: £40,726 per annum

Job Purpose
BMJ is one of the world's leading healthcare knowledge providers.
The BMJX team runs a range of international and national healthcare events. These include large-scale international conferences, awards evenings, round tables, national conferences and webinars.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Executive to join this busy and close-knit team. The role will predominantly focus on the International Forum on Quality and Safety in Healthcare but will also be involved in other events in the portfolio as required.
You will support the team in meeting their objectives to bring in poster presenters, attendees, and speakers by implementing effective, multi-channel marketing campaigns.
This role requires an excellent copywriter, effective communicator, careful time manager and flexible multi-tasker with an eye for detail.

Main responsibilities
Managing a range of effective digital marketing campaigns focused on delegate uptake, abstract submission, brand and engagement
Writing clear and engaging copy for different marketing channels such as email, social media, web and print advertising
Working with a designer and on your own for some smaller projects, producing printed and digital collateral such as event guides, advertising and images for various channels
Working with the Marketing Manager and data team to identify relevant prospective audiences for each communication channel
Updating events websites, particularly online programmes and various landing pages as needed
Briefing an agency on all new and ongoing PPC advertising campaigns and managing the ROI for these
Producing internal management reports on progress towards targets
Reporting on the effectiveness of campaigns and the website by consulting individual campaign platforms and Google Analytics
Budget tracking and reconciliation of marketing expenditure across the events.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Effective copywriter who can adapt their writing for email, web, social and print
Shows pride in their attention to detail
Can demonstrate they have independently managed multi-channel digital campaigns
Good understanding of Google AdWords and experience in managing PPC campaigns independently or via an agency
Respect for deadlines and excellent time management with the ability to juggle multiple tasks
Can demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and confidence in managing multiple stakeholders
A savvy user of email software (experience with Adestra will be ideal)
Experience in using Canva or similar design software
Good grasp of Google Analytics and SEO best practices
Experience in events marketing is a definite plus
