Contract: Permanent (Full-Time)
Salary: £33,833 - £37,591 (depending on experience)
Location: 90 Whitfield Street , London (Hybrid)

We’re looking for a proactive and customer-focused professional to become a key part of our BMJ Technology Support team. In this role, you’ll be the go to person for delivering both remote and onsite 1st & 2nd line support, helping colleagues get the best out of their technology every day.
From troubleshooting applications and equipment to ensuring smooth day-to-day facilities support, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our teams connected and productive across a wide range of technology services.

The post holder will be required to work from our Head Office for at least two days per week and to provide office cover when colleagues are on annual leave, with the same support provided for them in return.
Responsibilities
Supporting BMJ staff on a range of business services primarily Google Workspace and video conferencing/telephone applications that include Zoom
Managing user accounts, troubleshooting reported issues, advising on use/best practice, account administration
Co-ordinating on and offboarding tasks as staff join and leave BMJ: enabling and disabling access to applications, new starter training, supply of laptops and other hardware peripherals
Assisting with GDPR discovery and Data Subject Access requests
Supporting BMJ cyber security practices via review and management of suspicious emails and testing/raising staff awareness
Manage tickets raised in BMJ Technology Helpdesk application (FreshService) in line with company SLAs and KPIs
Onsite support to users of the BMJ space
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Previous experience of working on a technical support helpdesk using Freshservice
Written and spoken English to a good standard
Good standard of IT literacy
Good working knowledge of Win11, MS365, Adobe CC, Mac OS, IOS & Android mobile devices
Understanding of Cyber Security products such as Sentinel1 , Mimecast, Cisco Umbrella
ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) an advantage
Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, able to prioritise and manage a varied workload in line with SLA’s and target
