Marketing Manager (Healthcare), B2B Customer Marketing

Job Overview

BMJ Group is seeking an experienced B2B Marketing Manager to join the Customer Marketing Team.

In this fast-paced role, you'll help deliver expertise on the healthcare and government sector, identifying customer groups with high-growth potential and expanding relationships where possible to grow revenue in partnership with the Healthcare sales team. 

The role will work closely with the product, healthcare sales, and customer success teams to ensure that customers and the market landscape are represented in marketing plans and execution. 

Your role as Marketing Manager will be responsible for leading the implementation of marketing strategies and campaigns targeting the healthcare and government sectors across many of BMJ Group products, notably the Journals portfolio, BMJ Best Practice, BMJ Impact Analytics and newer initiatives and partnerships. 

BMJ Group operates in an international market which is growing rapidly each year, this role has the opportunity to work with existing customer groups to drive usage and retention and develop our reach into new territories to help drive acquisition and growth to the business.  

Key Responsibilities

  • B2B marketing strategy: Lead the execution of marketing strategy by delivering end-to-end marketing programmes from ideation to delivery to post-programmed learnings. Conduct ongoing communication with partner contacts to ensure marketing programmes align with their marketing and communication strategies, and collaborate where possible. Liaise with the product marketing teams to identify themes/topics for campaigns and liaise with the data and sales support teams to identify appropriate recipient lists and ensure adherence to any relevant data protection guidelines.

  • Lead generation and market growth: Manage omni-channel marketing campaigns to generate Marketing Qualified Leads for the sales pipeline. Work with a wide range of marketing channels and tools to create content that will raise the brand profile and drive conversions within the target markets (i.e. social media e.g. LinkedIn, webinars, white papers, case studies) across BMJ Group products. 

  • CRM and marketing automation programmes: Developing, building and managing marketing automation in Pardot to create lead-nurturing campaigns to increase engagement and nurture leads through the MQL funnel. 

  • Provide Customer knowledge and insight: Deliver a deep understanding of global B2B customers and their key territories to drive marketing strategies, improve sales positioning, and ensure the right products are positioned to the right customer groups to create clear alignment.

  • Conference & Event attendance: Liaise with the Exhibitions Marketing Manager to coordinate conference attendance where healthcare customers will be attending. Depending on the requirements to support customers and prospects, there may be areas of investigation into advisory groups and engagement with large funding organisation roundtables. 

  • Reporting & Presenting: Evaluate campaign performance and report regular reporting on campaign activities and key customer account marketing. Be able to confidently and professionally present results and new business ideas to partner senior leaders and internally to team members. 

 

Skill & Experience 

  • Successful creation and implementation of marketing plans and campaigns across a B2B market (essential) 

  • Experience in STM publishing and/or healthcare marketing (desirable)

  • Experience in setting and controlling budgets (essential)

  • Experience in successfully engaging across diverse teams (eg Sales, product development, marketing) (essential)

  • Excellent communication & presentation skills (essential)

  • Experience working with CRM systems e.g. Salesforce (essential)

  • Experience in creating marketing automation programmes (essential)
