An opportunity has come up to work on the highly prestigious medical journal The BMJ, proofreading articles to house style. This is a flexible opportunity to join our standby proofreading pool and provide ad hoc services as required, often at short notice. Work can be conducted remotely but working hours to fit with a UK or European time zone are preferred. Competitive day rate offered.
Regular tasks will include:
Fast and accurate proofreading of research papers, medical education pieces, scholarly comment, and journalism
Must have:
Ability to prioritise multiple tasks
Extensive experience in STM publishing
Experience of accurately marking up PDF proofs
Proven ability to follow complex house style instructions
Preferred:
Previous experience in medical publishing
Experience of Adobe Share for Review
