Associate Editor, BMJ Supplements
Job Overview
BMJ is seeking a (freelance) Associate Editor to join our team working on journal supplements. The successful candidate will join an experienced team of professional editors working to publish medium sized publishing projects (5-15 articles) with partner organisations and research teams.
Like regular articles published across BMJ journals, supplement articles undergo a rigorous peer review process. This ensures that the research and content included are of the highest scientific quality, validity, and relevance.
While the team works across BMJ journals, including The BMJ, the focus of the role holder’s work will be supplements submitted to BMJ Global Health.
BMJ Global Health is an open access, online journal dedicated to publishing high-quality peer-reviewed content relevant to those involved in global health, including policy makers, funders, researchers, clinicians and frontline healthcare workers.
The role is virtual and we welcome applications from anywhere in the world, particularly applications from the Global South. The role is not full time; the amount of work will vary from project to project and is compatible with a role holder maintaining an academic or clinical role.
